I put the 3 iron in my bag today, and took a gap wedge out. I hardly hit my gap wedge, and can saw off a PW if I need that yardage, and we have 3 tee shots I always thought a 3 iron was the perfect club.I think ist staying in the bag. I don't have ablade 3 iron, but my dads Titleist 755. It is suprisingly easy to hit very high in the air, and shapes the ball very nicely.Anyone else replace a wedge with a long iron?

Except i just took it out, My new adams idea goes just as far, albeit easier, and i can really crank it off the tee without worrying like i do with the 3 iron.

If I can hit it well...it goes in the bag! I have a fetish for wedges so I have an abundance of them lurking around. Therefore..I took the 3 iron out and put the hybrid in its place. I'm darn sure that I have exceeded the maximum number of clubs in the ol' bag. I almost get a hernia lifting the darn thing.

Tools of my game:
Burner 09' Driver 10.5 Reg flex
5-pw G10's/ plus Taylormade R7 4 iron
Burner 08' 4 Hybrid
A70S 3 Hybrid Burner 09' 3 wood "Zing" SW 56 degree Fastback Laser range finder / plus Skycaddie SG5...also a great ball retriever!!
