hi..I am in the market for a new set of irons. Has anyone heard of this site, gigagolf? They make high-quality knock offs, and I have seen people on another board recommending them. I don't really have the money to buy a set of name brand clubs.

I've heard good things about gigagolf and considered buying some of their clubs (I went with Pinemeadow instead). But if you're willing to buy used or close-out clubs, you probably can afford name brand clubs. Try 3ballsgolf.com and rockbottomgolf.com.

Carl Spackler: This is a hybrid. This is a cross of Kentucky Bluegrass, Featherbed Bent, and Northern California Sensemilia. The amazing stuff...

Yeha, I'm watching them too. I'm thinking about getting their Callaway Big Bertha Irons....

Gigagolf is a good place for clubs. I was actually debating on buying the forged blades from them.

Knock Offs are meant to look like originals and are usually patent violations.

There are assembled clubs which are not knock offs and are less expensive but hold little value when used.

Buy a good used set and takes care of them and they will be worth close to what you paid for them when you trade them in.

    • Day 18: 12/28/2024 Good day at the range today. Got to work hard on my priority piece. (The PPJ swing). With a 7 iron or 6 iron in my hand I'm getting more of the right than wrong. Which is great progress.  I did a lot of block work again today. Right now I'm planning on adding in some random work next week.
    • Dayyyyuuuummmmm… Sub ten yards of carry with 5000+ RPM?
    • Day 89 - 2024-12-28 Went down in the morning and got a good 45 minutes of work in before players arrived for an "open session."
    • Well, my “home” course closed for the season in early November. My -8 effort was lame. Time to get ready for 2025. Hit the gym so I can blast my drives 205 yards instead of 200.
    • Did something happen around the end of August? Your index was tracking down and then “bounced” upward through the balance of the season. Besides, a buddy of mine once told me, “There is nothing good about a low handicap.” Once I started playing net events, I understood what he was saying. The good news is you can play all winter and figure out the problem. I just sit on the couch and watch the snow fall. 😉
