I saw a littel ring like thing that you put on your club that I'd say weighs around 1 pound and only costs like $5. I was wanting to know if anyone knows what I'm talking about and wether or not you think I should get one.

Its not always how you drive the ball, but how it arrives.

Its the same thing basically as a weighted doughnut in baseball. I have one. . .you can swing with it, but its not like swinging a weighted club. The weight moves and is proportioned incorrectly.

If you just want something to help loosen up before a round, its fine. But don't expect it to actually help your swing improve. I bought a Momentus swing trainer (460cc weighted driver). I got it on Ebay for around $80, you can hit balls with it. I hit about 10 with it at the range, grabbed my reg. driver and instantly gained about 10 yards--just due to increasing my swing speed.

If you are just looking for something to help get loose before you swing, I would suggest just grabbing 2 or 3 wedges (depending on how many you carry) and swinging them just slow, and smooth. I do this an it really helps we get loose before I play or hit at the range.

Here's what I play:

Titleist 907 D2 10.5* UST ProForce V2 76-S | Titleist 906F4 18.5* Aldila VS Proto "By You" 80-S | Titleist 585H 21* Aldila VS Proto "By You" 80-S | Titleist ZB 4-PW TTDG S300 | Bob Vokey Spin Milled Oil Can 54.10 | Bob Vokey Spin Milled Oil Can 60.08 | Scotty Cameron Red X5 33" |
