New Golf Ebayer Looking for Advice

Hey all, I've decided to upgrade my driver from my current Cleveland HiBore to a newer model. I am planning to stick with Cleveland so that leaves my options as either the XL or XLS.

While checking on Ebay, I noticed that there are quite a few XLS clubs for under $200 brand new. All of the sellers have over 98% positive feeback with over 10,000 feedback responses.

Do you think these clubs are counterfeit? Why would the most current model be under $200 brand new?

I'm okay with going with an XL for $120 but if I can get the latest model for another $60 why not, right?

Usually ebay sellers have little to no overhead, so they can sell much cheaper than retail stores. If they have 5 digit sales with near 100% feedback, chances are they are reputable, but that doesn't mean they don't sell counterfeit clubs on occasion (knowingly or not). Ask about their return policy and do your homework about the club you want to buy. Ebay is a great resource if you use it wisely.
Also, be sure to hit both the XL and the XLS before you buy one on ebay. Some folks (like me) prefer the XL over the XLS. No need to to spend an extra $60 on club you don't hit as well as the older version just because it's a good deal.

I've purchased my clubs from eBay with no issues. The XLS has the authenticity markings to help identify that it's the real deal (on the head, and also on the grip wrapper for new purchases).

Stick with highly rated sellers with high sales #'s, and you should be ok.

As far as XL vs. XLS - like has been mentioned, hit them first to see what you really like (save some scratch if you can).

BTW - the XLS is a major bomber!!

I actually just bought the XLS on ebay for 184 which included shipping.. just make sure they are a power seller and you should be good

Another reason for the cheap price is the fact that next season Cleveland is releasing a new Hibore.

Where I live it is 200$ in stores so i doubt they are trying to scam you
