Currently I have X-20s. I really like them but I feel like my ball striking and game in general is ready for a new iron. How much differerent or harder will it be to go to the MP 57? Those of you that play the MP 57, how do you like them and what iron did you play before? And if you want to recommend a similar iron, please do.

EDIT: Also, how do the 57's compare to the new MP 52's?

My only experience with MP-52s is the review posted on this site, so I can't tell you about that.

I switched to the MP-57s with an index in the low 20s, back in late April. I had super-game improvement clubs before then. I love the MP-57s. When you hit the ball well, you really feel it. If you know how to hit the ball high or low, fade or draw, the clubs allow you to do that. (I'm going be hearsay on the draw part, since I can't pull one off on command, even on the range). I got them because I felt my ball striking was pretty good with my old irons, despite my lack of distance. I feel a lot more confident with these, although my bad shots are worse than my old bad shots. But my good shots feel good enough, and unless I've been truly negligent in my swing, I don't get as many bad shots as I used to. SGIs just encouraged me to be haphazard in my swing, I felt.
