Anyone have one? How do you like it?

I've been passively looking for a new putter for a few months now and nothing really has caught my eye except for a couple Bettinardi's, Cameron's and the Rife 2 Bar Hybrid Mallet.

I can get the Rife Hybrid Mallet on ebay for $150 brand new which is definitely the most affordable and appealing to me. ;)

None of the golf stores carry the center shafted model so I haven't been able to try it out yet but CS putters always seem to set up better to my eye.

Anyone have it or have thoughts on it?

I have one and like it so far. It hits straight and is pretty forgiving. The center shaft isn't fully centered so you can line it up without distraction. It's got adjustable weights but I find I like the consistancy of one weight.

The roll is amazing and true, but can actually throw you off a little. I've been using a white hot Rossie for the past few years. Between the softer feel of the Rossie insert and the better roll of the Rife I'm totally blowing through breaks... Without hitting very hard. So, I'll blow through a break and then get scared and miss the 2nd short. It's taking some getting used to, but I think when I do, it will be fun.

That said, I use a chipper, so take my opinion FWIW.

haha, well I'll not be taking opinions from anyone using a chipper!

Seriously though, thanks for your input. What you said is really what I'm afraid of with going back to a mallet. I used to use a 2 ball putter and was horrible with distance control on anything longer than about 10 foot so I'm a little scared that it will be the same story over again with the 2 Bar Hybrid. I'm using a Yes! Callie right now and am generally a very good putter but for whatever reason here lately it's just not been fitting my eye. It's hard to explain but something subtle has changed in my grip or setup and as I address a putt, it just looks like a foreign object and I've lost all confidence. I'll probably keep the Yes putter even if I get a new putter, but I think a change of scenery is in order. :)
