Having the correct grip size is important as well. To small will cause a hook and too big will cause a slice.

I had a big problem with this with my driver. I took of the stock grip and put on a larger grip and the results have been phenonminal.

To answer your question, I use a medium to light grip but i think my grip size is a big factor in that.

I try to keep my pressure light but I find myself gripping harder as the round goes along. That is unless I have a few brews in me

Keep it on the short grass.
