I was looking at my scotty detour the other day and I was wondering how the putter would play if I took the back portion of the putter of, by loosening the screws that connects it to the face, it would be a really sweet putter, does anyone have the guts to try this?

That'd be dumb. It wouldn't weigh anything like it should and the sweet spot might be way off.

Your probably right, and I cant find any screwdriver that will fit the screws anyways.

I thought the putting insert and the weight was actually one piece.

I'd sell or trade it for $75-$100 and get another putter before I changed it in any way.

if you unscrewed the back portion.... itll just be like a studio style at half the weight...
unless you bought like 100g of lead tape and stuck it on there...

If you pull out the alignment aid on the back, you would also pull out the insert, and would have a big whole in the face.

      Day 4 (12 Mar 26) - nine hole session with grandson - played along side him from most fwd tees with seven  club setup -D,7w, 5,7,9,55° and putter.  Worked with him on his green side approach play.  Had some great shot making opportunities on my own, best part was seeing him make solid swings.
