I might be buying a new sand wedge next year. I like my titleist vokey, but it is getting worn. Wondering if I should upgrade to spin milled vokey or go with the new srixon wedges. The both have the mill grooved face and nickel finish, and i've heard a lot of good things about the srixons from people I know that have them so I can't decide. Any opinions?

I cant coment on srixons but vokeys are quality products, they amnt of R&D; that goes into Vokeys is probably way more than a smaller company like srixon.

You do know that Srixon really isn't a small company. Hell, they bought Cleveland. So now their wedges are made with stuff from Cleveland designs as well.

When looking for new wedges, I hit the WG-504's and they felt great, and spun quite a bit. I went with the Vokeys because I liked the feel and control a little bit better. But the Srixon wedges, like the rest of their stuff, is quality.

Here's what I play:

Yea I hear the new srixon hybris are solid as well. I didn't like thier irons as much as mizunos, but they were ok when I hit a few. I never see anyone with thier drivers though. The only issue is that it is hard to find the srixon wedges other than getting one on ebay. My pro shop, dicks, and TGW don't carry them.

I actually carry a srixon wedge. It sets up super clean at address and is forged, so feels great. It has a smaller head than most wedges I see, which really fits my eye. Certainly doesn't spin as much as other wedges in my bag, but its an older model. I'm not familiar with the newer srixon wedges, but if they're anything like mine, they're a solid product. Biggest selling point for me is the way the wedge looks at address.

In the market for a new driver, then my bag will be the shiz.

Yea this new wedge they came out with has a similar face to a vokey spin milled, with the small circular millings throughout the face, so it probably produces more spin than the old model. I wish I could demo one somewhere.

I was looking at the vokey, srixon and the the taylor made tp the day i bought mine,i discarded the vokey and was caught between the srixon and the t.m,i thought the srixon was a lovely wedge but i went with the t.m as i couldn't see much of a difference and the t.m was $20 cheaper which influenced my decision.
