I was at the course today and tried someone's Ping Redwood. It was a Zing model. I only got to use it for a few minutes on the practice green, and it was an inch too short for me, but I was quite impressed with it.

I was wondering if anyone out there has had a Redwood for some times and what your thoughts are on it.

I was looking at either the Zing or the Anser model.

Thanks for any help.

Why was it too short? Are you sure it was too short?

Most people use putters that are too long for them. There are far more 33" putters on Tour than any other length. A factory 35" is too long for most...

I played a Ping Zing Redwood for an entire year, before I switched to mallet style putters.

I will say that it was my favorite high-end blade, better than Odyssey Black or Bettinardi Black Carbon. But keep in mind, the above is just my opinion.

Well, I have been fitted by a PGA pro and it came in at 34'' for my length. The putter I tried was 33'' and the pro watching me with it said my eyes were too far out past the ball because I had to hunch over with the putter. So I trust their opinion. Now if we could get back on topic, any more feedback on the Redwood would be appreciated. Thanks
