I just got home and found a package on my doorstep, could it be???

YES, it's my new Swing Radar ($90 off ebay)

All I had laying around was a 6 iron, so I put some batteries in the radar, put it on the floor and started taking some easy swings to warm up.

78, 80, 82

Once warmed up I took some normal 6 iron swings...

90, 92, 91, 93

Then for the fun of it I tried to get it up as high as I could

98, ok let me go a little harder

102 woo hoo! But I got more in me, let me widen my stance a bit

104 was my max

This thing is gonna be fun :D

Well, this is paying for itself already.

I've been playing around with a few things in my swing and i've figured out the most efficient way for me to generate clubhead speed.

Before my normal 6 iron was producing low 90's , now i've got that up to 96,97 and it feels like i'm swinging easier.

After I took a video of myself last weekend I realized I was hanging back and was the cause of my pushes.

I've been working on getting to my left side and covering the ball more with my chest coming through.

I also noticed that I looked weak swinging through, and i'm a strong guy. So i've been getting to the top of my backswing quicker, not speed wise, less reaching wide which gives me a more solid feel.

The last thing that I just changed , was I resisted adding power with my hands and whipping it through at the last second.

the combination of these have added 5 mph to my swing speed, and my swing feels more controllable now in less than 4 hours, sweet.

I got the blue one, it's the same as the red, but without the tempo timer which I didn't see any use for.

Search around ebay , I got it for $90 shipped.

I've looked at these before and would still like to pick one up. I think they would be fun and insightful.

point of the tempo timer is this

when you say you put less effort into it your tempo will change, the tempo timer measures this and can give you your ideal tempo to generate the max speed.

When your golf goes off its nearly ALWAYS due to tempo.
