Exactly. One of my old college friends I still play with occasionally doesn't count a lot of strokes. We have come to call his scoring system the 'Junior modified scoring system'. One of his rules that would help us all is if you aren't happy with the shot it doesn't count. I'm wondering how long before the USGA and R&A; adopt this rule. After all, it's only fair that if you didn't mean to do it that it shouldn't count.

If someone cheats, even me, doesn't bother me because I would boast about a bogus score.

Eventually, I'll get the hint and stop advertising, which is against the rules.

do i know this guy? only about half of the JV golf team during tryouts.

i shoot my honest 43 or whatever, and never get into a match because a guy who shoots a 45 cards a 39 and plays in all the matches. you would think the coach would notice the 5 shot difference between their practice round scores and tourney scores, but alas.

oh well. i'm not going to be a professional golfer. i know i'm honest
