I play the F-60 4W (16.5°) and 3W (15°) and like both of them. I also have the MX-560 driver (9.5°), and since I reshafted it with a UST Pro Force V2 65 gm shaft, I like it a lot better too.

I was wondering about the face depth, I like a shallower face on my 3-wood and alot of the woods out there now have a deeper face does the f-60 cpme off the fairway pretty easy.

I have an F-50 but the F-60 has a similar profile. It's pretty shallow faced and launches off the fairway very well - partly because of the shaft that's on it.

Great clubs. IMO, Mizuno woods are very underrated.

I have the 5 wood. Don't be swayed by the hot list comments. Its one of the easiest clubs to work and hit off the tee and the fairway. In fact am considering getting the 3 wood version.

I tried the f-60 at the simulator and I was very surprised by how well I was hitting hit because I never thought much of mizuno woods. I would definatly get it since it can be bought for around $130 and even less on ebay.

Thats funny RocketSauce, because I just got a F-60 4 wood as well with a ACCRA stiff shaft on it for $31!!! I have only had it for 2 weeks and it is my favorite most versatile club in my bag. I had a callaway big bertha 3 wood and the f-60 blows it out of the water. I have gained control and haven't lost any distance switching to a 4 wood.

thats awesome man. mine just has the stock exsar shaft in it, but $52 for a brand new F-60 is a good deal. im glad to hear you havent lost any distance over your Callaway 3 wood. the reason i bought the 4 wood is so when i play certain courses i can take my 3 & 5 wood out of the bag and just use a 4 wood and add an extra wedge. i still love my Sonartec GS Tours, but i dont always need to carry a 3 and a 5 wood

I bought mine at a golf expo for around $80 .

I love mine. It's perfect off the tee and I only hit it off the fairway once, but it led to my first birdie ever! I use it off the tee ALOT. I place the same course quite frequently and I know where I get into trouble going long with my driver and the F-60 is just beautiful. I think the face is a little bit LESS shallow than most. My dad has a cobra speed and its a good bit more shallow than my F-60.

How is it for hitting off the fairway? And also what shaft would you recommend for a swing speed of about 90-100?

Keep in mind that the F-60 3W is made in 2 lofts, 13° and 15° and they play quite differently from each other. I have the 15° and it's quite easy to hit from fairway and light rough. Never tried the 13°, so I can't comment on that.

    • Jesus, when he keeps saying scissoring moment, ugh that is a horrible sounding phrase. Just makes me cringe. It doesn't help my mind went to Mr. Garrison from South Park. 🤣 If you know you know.  I think for the most part, golf shaft companies have gotten this figured out. They ask questions like, what tempo do you swing at. The whole scissor terminology sounds like they want to stand out a bit.  Yea, golfers load the golf shaft differently, and different bend profiles can help out. I do think swing speed matters as well. You probably want a golf shaft with lower torque if you swing faster.
    • Played 9 holes, shot a 39.  Kind of got around. Everything between the trees, so in play. Short game was rusty. Got to get back on that. Greens were stupidly slow because they got a lot of rain yesterday and probably couldn't cut them down. Usually in the summer they are firm and pretty fast for how sloped they are. Got to work on face to path a bit.
    • We agree here. Top of the car has a forward force, bottom of the car experiences a backward force via the braking. Both about the COM (somewhere in between). Result is a rotational flip. Since the forward force is still higher the car probably still globally travels forward. Sure, pretty basic. You really think there are deliberate twist forces applied? Like forcing the club head forward and simultaneously forcing grip end in the opposite direction? Heck I don't think we even slow down the grip end deliberately let alone force it the other way. Sorry, if I am missing something here. The orientation change is simple incidental because there is different rate of global movement of grip vs. clubhead throughout the swing. I also happen to think the best swings have the least amount of differential movement between the two end in the impact zone.  In my defense, I never thought one could do justice in covering all aspects of a golf swing in a paragraphs or two to begin with. Especially not with grade school physics..😜 Okay.
    • Wow, @DeadMan that is such a helpful breakdown of what’s around. Really excited to check a bunch of these out. Thank you. Will definitely go to Walnut Creek. Will also try and get a commonground tee time. Haven’t played many Doak courses yet! If your schedule frees up, let me know!
    • Yeah. I'm not sure what Vishal is really talking about with the "constrained" COM. The club's COM doesn't really change much. Less than the body's does… We definitely apply force to the golf club to move it both translationally (linear force) and rotationally (torque) to the golf club. That's what Manzella's alpha/beta/gamma is all about. Even before they switched the reference frame from the global to the club-based one. 😉
