Hi Folks,

Got some gift cards to spend at Golf Galaxy and in the market for a hybrid. This might sound like a stupid question to some but here it is. Would a high handicapper like me be able to use this Adams Idea Pro hybrid or should I stick to an Adams Idea A3 or A3OS?

Kind regards and Happy New Year!

At your level I think you'll be happier with the A3OS. The A3 would probably be OK, but the OS model will be a little more forgiving (and thus you'll be more likely to use it more often). There will those that will say the Pro is better because it's more 'workable' or whatever, and that's probably true, but that's probably not something you want as a high handicapper. 'Workability' for most higher handicappers is just another word for 'sliceability' or 'hookability' (they're probably not real words, but you get the idea). Some will say you should learn to hit the Pro model because it will make you a better player, but the problem with this logic is that you'll be less likely to use the club while improving because the results are typically not going to be as favorable. When you get better, then you can consider a more 'workable' club. In the mean time enjoy the game and play with what makes the game the most fun.

Both sound good I would say what you have to do now is pick them up and feel them for yourself hit them and you'll know. I feel that feel is the most important thing in golf LOL so which ever one feels better to you and gives you more confidence since golf is largely a mental game.

ps dont overlook the slazenger RD hybrid Irons My father as a set he and I hit them better than we do any other Hybrid club. I prefer the look and feel of the thinner clubs but if I were to get hybrids I would get slazengers It saves alot of money.
