I was told by a friend of mine to check these wedges out and that they have some sweet grinds.

Anyone ever have any experience with them?

Thanks for the feedback.

I got s 58* that I use for chipping around the greens. softest wedge I've ever used. Great feel and superior craftmanship. You can get just about any grind you want, if one of their standard wedges doesn't work for you. they have about 10 with all sorts of different grind configurations.

I have a 53* and 58* "tour department". They were fitted for me by Ari Techner-CEO while in Eugene, OR. They are forged in Japan from softest material used in the industry-1018 steel. You can call Ari-number on the website-and he will fit you right over the phone.

Friend of mine has them... loves them.

I have hit his and they felt pretty nice, but they certainly come with a pricetag. Not sure if I'm willing to spend that much when I like my Clevelands... but if I didn't really mind spending the money I would play scratch wedges.

Greatest wedges that you can get. Simply phenomenal. I have 3 of the Tour Department wedges that I had custom built to my exact specs. Next up is a set of SB-1's.

Thanks for the feedback. I am seriously thinking about getting the WLD 58* but was wondering with the groove rules changing at the end of this year, should I spend the money.

How long can Am players use todays style wedge? What about in USGA events like the Mid AM?

dont even worry about the groove change unless you are a professional. the groove rule wont even apply to amatuers for several more years. im not exactly sure, but i think it starts around the year 2020 or something....

I think i'm going to pick up a PDG grind 53 degree. They dropped the price $50.

Here is a link about the groove rule from golf.com. Sounds like for top amateur events, the rules won't change till 2014.

Give Ari a call and talk to him about the groove thing. He'll be able to explain things to you in a very clear manner on all aspects.

Thanks so much for the feedback. I have been designing a wedge all morning on their customization site. I am pretty excited about getting one.

Any thoughts on finish? I was going to go with the black, but the raw looks nice also. What finishes do you have?

Mine are all satin chrome. Simple, durable, and functional.
