Tearing through shafts...

For those players out there with scratch or better (or tour experience), do you find yourself going through about two driver shafts a season? I've went through two shafts last year between all the practice I do and the tournaments I play, and I don't yet have the luxury of a tour van. Can anyone else relate? My swing speed is around 125-130, and I've played a VSProto 70 X, and a DVS 70 X... thinking of trying the Diamana Whiteboard, but for the price I don't want to have to keep replacing a $300 shaft twice a year for just my driver.

I am very confident that it is not my swing, as I video and analyze it constantly... could I have just had two bad shafts? Any insight would be helpful. Thanks!

i ahve not had your problem. I also have a very fast swing speed and a diamana shaft. It maybe just a very unlucky coincidence that this happened for you. I would call in to the place that you got them and ask.

Haha, no, I am not Tiger Woods. I am thinking it was a weird coincidence, but I wanted to see if anyone had that problem, or has that problem. If I could just have access to that damn tour van, lol.

I've never had the issue in an X shaft. I did have a similar problem before I jumped to the x-stiff flex, i would wear through a shaft quickly and it would cause a noticeable difference in distance and trajectory.

I would call the shaft manufacturers and tell them what's going on. They might give you a free shaft, assuming they have normal warranties.
