Hey All:

Another old guy here...third AND fourth grandbabies on the way

I've played this infernal game off and on for 35 years or so, but took it up more-or-less "seriously" about a year and a half ago. I'm also fooling around a little with club building, just as a hobby interest. I've recently put together a set of 701U irons from Ralph Maltby's 'Golfworks', and they're turning out to be the best clubs I've ever played, so that's kind of fun.

I'm generally shooting around 90 right now with delusions of adequacy: hope to get close to a single digit handicap this year, which should be possible in theory, if I could figure out how to chip and putt.

Looking forward to some interesting conversation and exchange of opinions and information.

Welcome aboard. "bobkin" is a fellow club builder here on the forums, but he lives here in PA, so he may be jealous of your location... speaking of which: where in South Florida exactly? I used to live in Delray Beach.

I'm way down south in "rural" southwest Dade County - the last thing you'd hit before the Keys. The down side is, all the decent golf courses are north of me.
