I have a Garmin Nuvi in my car, and that's what inspired me to buy the GolfLogix for golf. Maybe once the shine has worn off the Approach G5, the price will be come down a bit. I also believe in letting the more adventurous consumers do the debugging on new electronics.

That's incredibly slick looking... And having a touchscreen is a nice little feature. However, until it's been vetted by other players, I'd rather stick with buttons and whatnot just incase.

The one thing I can say is the the touch screen map scrolling on my car GPS works great, so it isn't like Garmin is breaking down any new doors here. All it really is, is a mapping GPS that is specialized for golf courses. It will be interesting to see how the golfing public takes to it.

I like Garmin, I use a Nuvi in my car. The only thing I don't like is the feel of the touchscreen. As an iPhone user, I was expecting a more responsive touchscreen. The Nuvi screen is not very responsive, and I sometimes have to press very hard to have it register... I think it has to do with it being soft plastic. In the car, it isn't that big of a deal, because you only have to set it once and you're good. However, on the course, you would have to touch it at least a couple of times a hole. If the touchscreen is the same as the Nuvi, this might be annoying. It's worth checking out though.
