weird title i know...i'm in a quandary regarding my game right now. for years i had not been able to hit mid to long irons very well, but was pretty darn good with 8 and lower....i think the heavier weight of short irons and game improvement designs of my irons were responsible for being able to get the ball in the air easily. as my swing has taken shape though, i find myself hitting my mid to long irons much better, particularly because i feel that the weight of the head isn't overbearing and I have really good control of the head at every position of my swing....sounds a bit illogical, i know, but i just have an easier time keeping it square when the head is not too heavy. is there anyone else who feels like this or has had this experience before? and are there any irons out there where the weight of short irons isn't as notable.

mizuno mp-57 irons and vokey wedges are great short game weapons. the mizunos especially easy to control short irons. The weight differences throughout the set arent really noticeable. give any of the mizzys a try, and maybe with the px shafts in them... i think you could handle the 62's or 57's as a 10 handicap. i know i could.
