I got a non i-mix driver, and i want to upgrade the shafts, and i was wondering what were some good high kick, stiff to x stiff shafts. I havent really done shaft shopping for a while, becasue of the i mix system, so thanks for your help. Price is not an object, i just need a better shaft.
By the way, it is the r7 Limited driver, and i know that the shaft is nice, but its regular flex and not for me...

The Graphalloy ProLaunch Red and Blue are great shafts and they stiff flex is stiffer than most stiff shafts are

Try the Aldilla NV 65 green shaft I had it recommended to me by a few people tried it bought it love it.

I regularly play with two guys who have the Aldilla NV 65 green shaft. It suits them great, however it seems like it'd be a bit light/whippy for someone desiring a shaft with some serious spine. The same can be said for my driver shaft...it's stiff rate....but it's very lively....great for me, but someone with a little more swingspeed most likely wouldn't like it.


I've always been under the impression that the White Board was an awesome shaft for those with the high swingspeeds.

I don't have a clue as to what is out there for the I-Mix driver. Seems like a cool concept, though. I can see where it'd be handy to have a winter shaft and a summer shaft.....windy day shaft and normal shaft.....etc.

I use the Speeder 757 in stiff. When I go to X-stiff, I try to overpower it. The 757 is a 75 grain shaft, instead of stock 65 grain shafts. The extra weight is what I needed. My swing speed is just over 110 mph.

Oban, Oban, Oban!! I highly reccommend this shaft. I have the Devotion 04 flex, 75gm tipped .75 inches and love it. I have it installed in a Ping Rapture 9*. I had a problem with balooning and this cured it immediately. I would definetly check these out. I can not speak for the Revolution series but have heard great things about them as well.

      It may not have been block practice, though, is one of the main points here. You may have been serving and from the same place, but you were likely trying to do slightly different things. It seems that would only be blocked practice if you were trying to hit the same exact ball hit to you to the same exact place in the far court. I'm not sure that's as random as if the ball that you're given to hit is at different places, too, but again…

      I played tennis in college. I thought block practice was great for serves because you were starting the point and  you could easily adjust where you wanted to place the ball based off the same motion. I equate those to tee balls. I despised block practice for groundstrokes once you reached a certain level and your fundamentals were good. To me, hitting a 100 crosscourt backhands in a row was silly because I would never do that in a match. I needed to randomize it by hitting some deep, some angled, all with different speeds and spins. I share that same thought about iron play. Because we seldom hit the same approach shots hole after hole, I prefer to practice irons randomly.
