I try to have one path for both the back and downswing but it just doesn't work for me. I've heard/read that players like Ernie Els has a single plane swing while players like Jim Furyk have a two plane swing..which is very evident.

For me it seems that my backswing is on on a more verticle plane compared to my downswing. This seems to be because when I get into the position of tucking my right elbow in on the downswing..does this sound right?

I was reading one of the "Break 90" tips in GD and I guess I'm correct on this one. They talk about the standing bag drill where on the backswing you would bring your driver outside your stand bag and then on the downswing inside the stand bag..inside approach..if this makes sense.

I don't see why I can't bring the driver back on the same inside approach through on the backswing..trying to keep it one plane..when I try this it's a disaster..why does it only work on the way down?
