My school team is getting Ping Voyage bags with school colors, school logo, our names on it, etc. I'm still trying to decide whether or not I want one. Anyone have any feedback on these bags?

you should definitely get one. ping makes awesome bags that looks great and perform well. they are light, durable, and well designed. plus, they look awesome when they are designed for teams.

my friend has his signature in his and it looks sweet. i would highly recommend getting one

i think its cool to use a bag from your alma mater, but i have a lot of school spirit so i might just be crazy

I have spoken very highly of PING bags in the past on this site. I'd say it's worth it depending on the price. Other PING bags (Hoofer Vantage and Latitude) are better IMO. If the price is similar to those bags (about $180), then I would not do it. Your school probably gets a discount, so it's probably worth it.

PING bags are great. I've mostly used Hoofers, but this bag performed well when I used it. I'm not familiar with the storage pockets, but I'm sure it's enough. You really cannot go wrong with a PING.

Edit: I caddy and I've used just about every bag you can think of.

Many of the opposing schools in which my high school team golfs has these ping bags and i hate them. To me the straps don't look very comfortable along with the limited pockets on them. I am so glad our team lets us be individuals and have our own bags because i would rather have a comfortable bag than one that has the school and everything on it.

I've got one and I love it. We sell more of these now than the Hoofer at the shop where I work.

The answer is simple, if your school team is getting them and you are on the team, get one. Should be no question about it.

Thanks for all the responses!

Yeah, definitely. I have a lot of school spirit too, well golf team spirit, and I think having my name on the bag is very cool.

You're right, when I first found out, I committed myself to not buying because of the $180 price tag. Turns out, we get them for $125. Seems like a great deal for a personalized bag.

Do you think the reason is that the Voyage is a lighter bag than the Hoofer?

The answer is simple, if your school team is getting them and you are on the team, get one. Should be no question about it.

That's also a factor. I think I'm about 98% convinced right now. I wouldn't want to feel out of place, it's going to mess with my golf mojo
