I am in need of new grips for my clubs and i am going to be going to golf galaxy here soon. Do they have a large selection of grips to check out. I am interested in grips like the Lamking Preformance Plus, Lamkin Crossline Black, Golf Pride Tour Velvet. Also i don't know if i need a bigger grip or not. I don't know what my current grip size is and when i grip the club my one finger barley touches the bottom of my thumb. Is this bad? It doesn't bother me at all.

They should have a good selection. If you don't see many on the sales floor ask someone. A few stores I have been in only keep 4 or 5 types out on the sales floor but have much more than that back in their shop area. Just about anyplace you go will have the Crossline and Tour Velvet.

If you can change them yourself you can save a bunch by getting them online somewhere. Tour Velvets can be had for about $3 + shipping online. They will cost you $4-5 at a store, plus the cost to put them on, usually around another $1. Even if you buy elsewhere and pay someone to put them on you might save a little.

I will judge my rounds much more by the quality of my best shots than the acceptability of my worse ones.

I am just trying to make my decision so i can tell the pro at my local golf club what i want in the spring. I know everyone says it is easy to do but i will feel much better if he does it. It is going to be about 70 bucks. I already asked him about doing it so i would feel bad if i did them myself know plus i don't have the confidence to do them. I am 16 and no body else in my family golfs so i am on my own with this stuff so that is why i feel better about the pro doing it.

Golf Galaxy will have a good selection, but if your pro will put them on for you, he should have grips that he can get for you and be able to help with your questions. If he is a real nice guy, ask him to show you how he does it. He shouldn't mind showing a junior player how things work. Good luck.
