So yesterday I got out and played my first round ever. I played with a friend of mine who is a 9 handicap. I didn't really keep score because it was my first time out and it was pretty windy.

My friend said I had a good swing and good tempo but I was slicing all of my drives. Moving the ball back a bit in my stance did help for a few shots.

I had a chance at a birdie but missed the putt an inch to the left. hole 9 298yrd par 4. 3 wood off the tee went wide left. PW from the tree line to the green. 10ft from the hole.

Since my driving sucked most of the holes I ended up just dropping a ball where my friend's ball was and playing from there. He said I actually have a decent short game.

Overall it was a great time and I am really hooked.

Glad you enjoyed it. I remember my first time which was last year. I never kept score and played pretty badly but on the 17th par 3 that all changed. I hit my tee shot which actually went straight and stuck about 5 feet away from the cup....of course I missed the birdie putt but I had a par in my first round ever.
