Granted, Kenny Perry ended up losing in the playoff, but I found it funny everybody in the media says Perry choked on 17 and 18, leading by 2, and yet not a single person in the media noted that Tiger did the exact same thing in 2005 - in fact, it was soo eerily similar with Cabrera having a chip that would have actually won the tournament like Dimarco.

I know Perry hit some horrendous shots, but does anyone remember how Tiger bogeyed those last two holes 4 years ago? I think I remember him being in the greenside bunker on 18 (front left?) but forget what happenned on 17.

He didn't choke because he won the damn tourney. He had an opportunity at redemption and he capitalized. If he had lost, then yeah, by all means. And besides....

Exactly. I don't know why so many people are bringing this up. If Tiger would've LOST then it would've been the same choke, but he took advantage in the playoff and won.

Gotta nominate this for the most stupid thread of the year. Better yet Kenny Perry= Jack!

Whether or not you win in the playoff, if you blow a 2-shot lead with a pair of bogeys, you choked. Maybe you recover, maybe not, but I think it's a completely fair comparison.

Absolutely. And here's Tiger afterward:

Tough to see him get so choked up about it...
