17* versus 19* Hybrid

I currently own a 19* hybrid that I hit well and about 200 yards on average. If my new fairway wood does not work out I was wondering about a lower lofted hybrid. TM seems to have a 2H that is a 17* and was wondering the distance comparison versus the 17* and the 19*. Which companies make hybrids lower than 17* that are fairly good?

If you are currently hitting a 3H (19*) 200 yards then you would probably hit the exact same club in 2H (17*) about 10-20 yards longer. Of course that depends on a few different facts such as your ball trajectory.

I used to carry a Callaway Heavenwood 1H (15*) and used it instead of a 3W and often teed off with it instead of driver. I've always been a high ball hitter so the lower loft didn't cause me any issues as it still had a good trajectory. I really liked the shorter shaft and felt more in control with it, but then I worked my swing out so I now hit driver and 3W well. I'm not sure what companies still make a 1H, but I'm sure several do. I would think Adams probably does in the Pro series and maybe Titleist as well. Taylor Made might as well (check online stores or website).

The Nike SQ is available in 15*, I think the Ping G10 is too along with the new cleveland launcher. Just have a look at the manufacturers websites.

Nickent has a 14* 1 iron. You probably want to get more than 2* seperation between those clubs.

Yeah, I was thinking maybe a 15 or 16* would go about 230, which would work nicely on the longer par 5's and short par 4's.
