Stock Wedges

Do you all use your stock Sandwedge? The one that comes with the iron set or have you tossed out of your bag anything past PW?

I think the vast majority of sets don't come with a sand wedge, so it's unlikely most people use the same sand wedge as the one that matches their set.

usually the sets are 3-PW or 4- PW, SW or AW

In the past I have used a sandwedge that matches my set, but usually ended up with a blade wedge later. I had a SW that matched my TA-7 irons and one that matched by Goldwin ADVP irons and both were OK, but seemed to lack the feel I wanted for short game - they were more forgiving, though. The SW's that come with GI or SGI irons are not very versatile that I have found. If you had a set of blades with a matching SW it would probably be fine.

I personally have never gotten any clubs below the PW for my set. I usually play different wedges than the ones made for my set. I like my wedges to be more of a blade than the cavity back like my irons.
