I can't decide which loft to get with the Titleist 909h that I am looking at. Driver is 9.5, 3-wood is 14.5, and then it gaps to my 3-iron which 21 degrees. I have demoed both the 17 & 19 degree lofts and hit both reasonably well off the tee and off the grass. 17 is easier and longer off the tee of course and that is important b/c I would like it for those really tight driving holes. 19 is easier to hit off the grass which would be nice for a couple long par 5's. If you had to fill the gap between 14.5 and 21 degrees which would you choose and why? Thanks.

3 Wood: 975F 14.5
2 Hybrid: 909H 19

I went witht the 19. So far i like it, but i admit its a bit diffucult to hit at times, espically off the deck. I prefer the ballflight with the 19, and i feel that if i strike it well it goes a bit further than my 3 iron. However, just so you know, the 909h is a players hybrid and is difficult to hit.

I personally went with a 17* because I do like to hit the fairway on the tight driving holes. I use this club to lay up on the shorter par 5's.

I have hybrids of 14, 16, 19, 22 and 24 degrees. I normally bag one per round.

The 16 has produced the sweetest shots, no question about it. But also some duds that banish it from the bag. The high lofted ones seem worthless when I butcher one. You're standing there thinking it was too cute ten times over.

The only hybrid I never seem to get upset with is the 19. Plenty of height and distance and versatility.
