Has anyone played the Nike One Vapors? How are they spin-wise? Any suggestions for a medium tier, high spin ball?

Medium Tier High Spin. By Tier do you mean price?

I have tried the vapor. It was quite short for me (at least half a club length). Spin was ok but no better than anything else in the price range, I thought it was pretty average tbh. Many people praise the bridgestone e5 but I have not tried it. A very good ball is the srixon ad333 (2 piece and cheaper than the vapor), this stops just as well as the vapor and distance is good too.

The Vapor is touted by Nike as a low spin ball. Low compression too, so you will get a lot of feel, but if it's spin you're after you'll need to go with one of their Platnium balls.

Gamer.

Best value in golf, even if they never go on sale like the other rock-flites.

Nike ONE Vapors are nice. I've enjoyed playing them. Distance and feel are great....spin is what I'd class as medium.....trajectory is higher than average.....carry is long.

You said you wanted a medium tier high spin ball.

I'll give you three:
  • Top Flite Gamer--high spin, lower trajectory, $20 dz
  • Bridgestone E5+--higher spin, high trajectory, $26 dz
  • ProV1 Practice balls, get them for $29 dz when you can find them, don't be pissed when you flush a wedge in pin high and it sucks back ten feet....it's gonna happen on crisp shots. Softest putting ball of the three.

Vapor is the replacement for the Nike Ignite. You'll find that the vapor is a bit more durable. Other than that it plays the same as the Ignite. Medium spin, nothing too crazy. It's made for slow-medium swing speed.

Like he said. They are short. I read today they are for swing speeds of about 90 i think. I wasn't impressed. I got a 2 ball sample for free. I won't ever buy them. They are okay in durability. Spin was not great. I would try something else but to everyone they have an opinion. I would try a Top-Flite ball if I am going for something cheaper. They seem to get the most for the dollar

I am a loyal ignite player, but got talked into some Vapors. Might just be mental, but I didn't like them. I'm going to be grabbing Ignites wherever I see them on sale, and trying the Gamer as suggested here.
