I'm 14 and i'm currently of 25 but this will change (I'm pretty sure) because i have dropped 7 shots in the last two weeks. I'm a lefty and aswell as looking for a good deal genuinely want some nice irons.

if you want clubs that maintain some value, stay far away from Nickent. regarding which irons are for you, who knows? get some advice from a couple of shops after seeing your swing.go to the stores and hit some different sets in the net. don't just buy a set because they're cheap.

I got my last set from Callaway Preowned (website) and they are great. The Big Bertha Gold is what I got. Very forgiving. Many Big Bertha irons for sale on that site and very good prices. They are good for mid/high handicaps from what I can see. All used by the way, but in great shape. Mine looked unused in fact. They will adjust length and lie angle if needed too. Below is the website...

yes, Nickents probably wont hold their value (which is one reason i suggested them, because they are affordable), but they still make a couple of nice iron sets (3DX Pro's & 4DX Pro's). i suggested them because they are good clubs. not so he could resell them. i know from the other forum that you dont like Nickent. but they do make some good quality clubs

JMHO go with a SGI setup until you get to 18ish handicap. Then go with a GI setup until you get to a single digit. At that point, IF you wish, you can move into player's clubs. This is obviously a rule of thumb. Take it with a grain of salt!

Since you will change clubs going this route, my advice is go with quality used equipment from one of the top 5 or 7 manufacturers. They will hold their resale pretty well when you get ready to move to the next stage.

Good luck!

Yeah mostly you should go to a shop and try out some irons and see what one works the best for you

Whats in the bag?
Driver: King Cobra SPD 9*
Hybrid: Callaway X 21*
Irons: 4-pw Callaway x18
Putter: Looking for a Odyssey SabertoothBall: Titlest NxT Tour with custom logo of my highschool mascot

Ping ISI's or eye 2's are oldies but goodies and can not only be had for pretty cheap but then adjusted to fit you. I've had my ISI-S's since I was 15 and am now 24. As I am approaching a single digit handicap for the first time since high school I am just starting to think about new irons. I played OG Maxfli Australian blades for a bit when I was shooting to about a 7 or 8 and still stuck with my pings.

    • Completing your first 2 holes in 9 strokes then taking 48 to complete the next 7 is wild.
    • I had some great moments today, but some garbage as well. Today was my first swing of any club this years.  Hit the range and simply pounded all but 1 shot on target with reasonable distance for me.     first hold wax aboar 5.  I crushed my drive and 3-hybrid and was 6” off the front in too.  Putting was lackluster and I got par 2nd hole par 4 intoning regulation but left my birdie putt 2 “ short, shells then fell off and finished the front 9 with a crappy 57. Back 9 was better with nothing worse than bogey on all holes until #16 when I took a 10 on a par 4. 🤬.  Finished ok and shot 51 on back 9. 108 is garbage but there were a lot of good shots so I have hope. I was frustrated that I ghought my Shot Scope was charged, it was not
    • I like Justin Rose and I wouldn’t mind seeing him win another major, I just didn’t want him to win this one 😃
    • I think Rose might have the most zeroed out putting stroke of anyone out there, although as golfing superpowers go that would be one of the most useless.
    • That pre-swing routine tho.. 🤓
