I love my IX-tour balls, but I would like something I can draw/fade more, without worrying about excess spin turning the shot into a hook/slice/20+ yard backspin shot. I already have a mid/high launch, mid/high spin ball flight btw. Any suggestions?

In my stand bag:
909D3 with 10.5 degrees of loft and a 45 inch Fujikura Rombax 6Z08, x-flex

X-forged ('07), 3-PW with Project X 6.0 CG12, 53/11, and 58* with DSG Red X2, 33"All with Lamkin Crossline Full Cord. (except the putter of...

try the pro v1x, its known for its low spin compared to the rest of the golf balls out there. Also maybe give the Maxfli Noodle a try. I have used a few of them lately and have noticed a little bit less side spin when hit with a driver but just enough spin when i would hit it with an iron or wedge.

Take a look at the TP Black from Taylormade or the Top Flight Gamer. The gamer, IMO, is a very underrated ball. FWIW, I believe Golf Digest rated it as the best overall ball in golf when you combine playability and price.

I picked up a dozen Gamer's based on the Golf Digest review and I found that the cover scuffs like crazy. After 3 holes (no cart paths or trees) the thing was tore up and ready for the shag bag. I won't be buying them again.

Bridgestone E6+ and E7+ would be outstanding balls for you to demo. Try a sleeve or two of each and see what you think.

Good luck.

I had the same issue with the Gamer. I am currently playing the Precept U Tri Tour and like it.

I just tried some on sale balls.. Wilson Rip Spin for $12 for twenty of them I figured what the heck. I was pretty happy with them decent distance off the driver and pretty good spin with the irons. I can't spin any ball backwards (yet) but they provided pretty good check on the greens and putted well (pretty soft off the putter face).
