checkout the Taylormade R7 Limited with the adjustable weights - on sale at TGW also but for $199. Then you can adjust the weights for your desired flight path.

I agree going with a driver that is not a draw bias, but has weights to allow you to adjust it for a draw (somewhat) is a better option. The best option is obviously to get that fade/slice fixed by seeing an instructor. Even the draw bias drivers will not 'fix' a fade as much as they provide a 'shortterm correction' of the ball flight. This often times leads to the problem getting worse, especially if you go away from the draw biased club.

I play the R7 Limited and do have the weights setup for a draw and it does help me with a slight draw whereas with the weights at Neutral I have a slight fade. It helps but I still have to have a good swing.

I do have a repeatable swing and very consistant with my ball placement in the fairway but I have always hit a power fade so I play the right side of most golf courses if you know what I mean.Just looking for something to straighten it out just a little for some courses that have tree lined fairways right to the tee boxes or that well placed bunker about 220 on the right side of the fairway so you think the r7 limited is a good choice I have also been looking at it as well

Go with the driver that is not draw biased and figure out why you're fading it. I made the mistake of purchasing an r5 draw when they came out and over the course of time took lessons and once I was hitting the ball straight or with a little draw with all my other clubs I got a major hook with that. I just switched this year and the problem that I'm having now is figuring out ball position with a neutral driver. So I say go with a neutral and learn how to hit your ball straight.

Agreed. This is often what happens when changing to a Draw biased driver. You'll suddenly pick up swing faults worse than you currently have with all of your clubs. At least with the R7 drivers you have the ability to 'tweak' your club for your swing that day (of course you can't change the weights during play, but if you hit the range beforehand you might find you have a fade or draw that day that you might want to enhance or neutralize).

And the extra $100 you save will buy a couple of lessons to straighten out the power fade.

I did buy the r 7 draw after hitting it,and the guy at dicks watched me hit some balls and said my grip was all wrong and after showing me I was hitting straighter and longer with the club set to nuetral,so I cant wait to get it on the course....By the way has anyone bought this and got the free shoes and how long did it take to get them

I used the R7 today for the first time and hit every fairway only play 9,so 5 for 5 so far.And it is longer than my old driver with less effort.I am 100% satisfied with it

    • Day 445 - 2025-12-19 Hit some balls at AMGC today before getting on a flight and driving back to home through some not-so-awesome weather. The backswing is starting to feel pretty good. I have to clean up the knees a little.
    • Day 25: did my drill with foam balls in the garage for a good 20 minutes. Worked on my hands not being as deep.
    • I unknowingly ordered what would sort of be considered a staff bag. It is the 14 divider version of the Titleist staff bag and was stated on the website to be a staff bag "light" (Titleist Tour Premium Cart Stadry), but it is pretty big. Love it though.
    • Day 39 (19 Dec 25) - weekly men’s group shootout today - we had as a “fifth” in our foursome the course teaching pro.  With the solid winds playing havoc, it was great having him to offer insight and counsel on what to take into to account. Mind you, he did not recommend specific club but rather to what consider and how to plan.  What a great day for course management education at the next level.
