Bought a set of used R7's off a friend. Want to tweak them to fit me. Looking at replacing the stock stiff shafts with regular flex and adjusting the lie angle since they're a little too upright for me. I've heard that this type of work can only be done at TM factory. Is that true or can I simply walk into Edwin Watts and say "please fit these to me"?

Most of golf shop has these services. The re shaft usually cost $15-20 per club. I was thinking about same thing last month, but i than decided sell mine and get new one on ebay. Adjust lie/lie is about $50-80 per labor hr if they fit for you. Not sure how much if u already know the spec u want.

I know at least one of the local shops, U.S. Golf, in Augusta can do this for you.

One thing to consider carefully....what are the deals to be had on new sticks right now. Not trying to talk you out of reshafting....but consider the total cost.

15-25 bucks per club for new shafts........then you've got to put new grips on at that time, too....another 6-11 bucks per shaft.

Imagine if you could get a new set of irons that fit your for $399 and then discount the trade-in value of the clubs you are gonna reshaft.

Something to consider.

Taylor Made, PING, Nike and others are blowing irons out right now....look around.
