Alright so I'm goin to buy a new putter. I have a mallet but want to try out a blade. I went in thinking the oddyssey white hot xg #9 was going to be the one, but the guy at the shop recommended the Rossa Daytona. It felt good and the insert was nice and soft. I would like to hear feedback because I really dont know too much about this putter. Thanks in advance! Oh, if you have another recommendation in mind around the $120 range, feel free to let me know as well.

The TaylorMade insert is one of the best, if not the best, insert out there. It gets the ball rolling real quick and true. It doesn't push it on the ground like most and then start rolling.

I considered the Taylor made suzuka but chose the odyssey white hot no9. I liked the taylormade but the odyssey just felt a little better for me. The TM putters are priced very competitively.

I have the 08 Rossa Daytona with the AGSI system which I like very much. I found in my case, putting accuracy is a little more sharp than with my other putter (Odyssey) however, distance control did take some time to adjust to. The AGSI system is suppose to impart a more true roll with less skid, which in turn suppose to produce better accuracy. I believe this system actually works, but controlling the distance for me was a bit of a challenge at first. By this I found that I had the tendency to run putts well past my intended distance with more frequency, but with time I did adjust and do believe that I am making better putts.
I understand that the 09 model does incorporate a softer insert which suggests that the feedback on the 08's were probably consistent with the experience I had. Take one out for a practice round if you're able to, or at least make lots of putts with it before deciding on the most important club in your bag. I hope this helps, and good luck!

I prefer the blade putter and have just recently switched to the Nike ic 2010. It has great feel to it and the ugly color scheme has a purpose. The dark green disappears into the grass while the two white lines are highlighted. I am legally blind and find this putter is an amazing improvement over my old Ping A Blade.

Oh, I hate the grip and got it regriped to a larger one.

I think it is definitely worth a good test drive.
