Clearly, people have problems deciding which golf balls to play.

I think YOU can help those of us who dont have access to free golf balls by selling "sampler packs" of various balls. Consider the multitude of options this opens: the premium sampler pack (prov1/x, tour i/x, b330's, zstars) with 2-3 in each package. a corresponding value sampler pack. a Titleist sampler pack.

Just an idea. I'd like to see it happen. Anyone else?

I was thinking about the same thing the other day. It would be nice if they would set a price per ball (say $X per Pro V1, $X per TM TP, etc) and just let us pick how many of which balls we want to sample and make an auction for us or set up an auction for each ball and let us go in and buy whatever quantity we want and combine shipping in the end.

This would be great for buyers because we get to sample balls in order to determine the ball we want to play and then buyers could also make a profit off of selling balls individually as well.

Here's a better idea, go to lostgolfballs and buy a dozen of each of the ball that you like to try in AAA grade. Their AAA grade is extremely under rated and is a whole lot cheaper than the mint grade.

I don't need a dozen of each and buying 1 or 2 of the 3 I want to try out would be much cheaper.

As an Ebay seller, I think that proposition would be a nightmare. You would have to charge about $4 per ball to make any kind of profit.

Ebay is pricing themselves out of the market for smaller sellers. The fees are getting ridiculous. Is 1 or 2 balls enough to really run a ball through the paces?

Can't you guys buy a sleeve of balls from you local proshops? Or do yours only sell full dozens?

another idea is contact the seller directly. reach out to the seller, and offer to pay a few $$$ more for a sample pack. If alot of people post on this thread that they are interested then maybe you could link this thread to the seller.

Golf Galaxy and Golf Discount have sleeves of balls that you can purchase. I did that this year, bought a sleeve of Pro V1, Pro V1x, B300-RX to try. I have also seen sleeves on sale on eBay.

Yeah, wanna make 14 dollars the hard way?

A local golf shop where I live sells individual sleeves of balls from all the balls they sell. They also sell them for 1/4 of the price they sell the full dozen (which they already sell for a nice discount over retail). This to me is a really great service and I'll buy a sleeve of a ball to test them out before committing for the whole dozen.

Thank you, eBay IS GETTING RIDICULOUS!

I was asked:
"What is your handicap?"
I replied:
"Golfing is my handicap!"

If you think it is a good idea, you could just buy a dozen of each and resell the sampler packs for a profit.

    • Day 445 - 2025-12-19 Hit some balls at AMGC today before getting on a flight and driving back to home through some not-so-awesome weather. The backswing is starting to feel pretty good. I have to clean up the knees a little.
    • Day 25: did my drill with foam balls in the garage for a good 20 minutes. Worked on my hands not being as deep.
    • I unknowingly ordered what would sort of be considered a staff bag. It is the 14 divider version of the Titleist staff bag and was stated on the website to be a staff bag "light" (Titleist Tour Premium Cart Stadry), but it is pretty big. Love it though.
    • Day 39 (19 Dec 25) - weekly men’s group shootout today - we had as a “fifth” in our foursome the course teaching pro.  With the solid winds playing havoc, it was great having him to offer insight and counsel on what to take into to account. Mind you, he did not recommend specific club but rather to what consider and how to plan.  What a great day for course management education at the next level.
