I have never been much of a fan of the square shaped drivers, but I found some good deals on Callaway Preowned for this club. Like $500 when it came out, there are some in the $160-185 range online. I read some reviews that suggested it was a very accurate driver. Some even complained about the trouble they have working the ball intentionally. Has anyone used this driver or familiar with it? The model I see comes in 9.5 degrees neutral with the Matrix Icon 6 stiff shaft. It is the FT-i LCG Tour model if that means anything to you. Thanks for any thoughts on this club.

I have the FT-i LCG 9* Neutral model in Stiff with Matrix Ozik XCon 6 shaft and if you want to buy it from me I'll sell it for $100 plus shipping and handling (I would have to buy a box for it), so it would be around $125-130. The one I have is practically new - no marks or anything and has only been used for 2-3 rounds and 2-3 range trips. It also still has head cover. I was going to post it in the next couple weeks anyway. (NOTE: It might be a 10* - I can't remember for sure, but if you're interested I'll confirm that tonight).

Personally, I think that shaft is not right for me at all. I'm not sure if it's the kickpoint or the low torque, but I can't consistently hit it well because I feel like I have to swing harder. It does seem to have a straighter trajectory, but the LCG model is a little more workable than the non-LCG model.

Thanks for the offer, but I have found one on Callaway Preowned that I think will work well for me. Anyone else have any opinions on this driver. Heard the sound is very loud, heard it hits straight, anything else? Thanks for any thoughts guys.

I love mine, keeps me in the fairway, very straight.

I picked one up from Callaway Pre-Owned about a month ago and don't plan on giving it up until someone pries it from my cold dead hands. It's the old man version, 13°, lite flex regular shaft to compensate for a slow swing. It's got an authoritative bang when it's hit, even with the slow swing. The best thing about it is the confidence it supplies; you have to really screw up to miss a fairway.

Thanks for the replies guys. Sounds like an accurate stick. Can't wait to give it a try myself. I could really benefit from hitting some fairways. This is one of the main things holding me back as far as lowering my score goes. I take a penalty stroke off the tees about 5-6 times a round. That is where my double bogeys most often come from. I hit it pretty long, and wedge in on most par fours. But those penalty strokes kill me. A more accurate driver is just what the doctor ordered.
