I have a big gap between my driver and my 21deg hybrid and i'm looking for a wood with a loft between 16*-17* to bridge it. So far browsing the internet I've seen the ffg:

1) Cleveland Launcher 3W (17* loft option)
2) Ping G10 4W (17*)
3) Ping Rapture V2 3W (16*)
4) Maruman Conductor 3W (16*)

I am hopeful I could demo these soon but would appreciate any feedback (pros and cons) from those who have hit these clubs. Also if you have any other suggestions I'd like to hear them.

TIA

Not sure on those but I just picked up a Nickent 4DX utility wood that is 15*. $79.99 at TGW...great deal on a nice club and it fills the gap nicely between my driver and my 20* hybrid.

The Cleveland Launcher is a nice club. It feels really great in my hands. Pretty good feedback as well. I really do like the looks of it as well; not too shallow or deep...perfect IMO.

The G10 was my favorite wood I've tried in terms of feel. It has a very shallow face though, and since I use my 3 wood off the tee a lot, it didn't look all that great. Off the fairway though, it was very good. The Rapture looks a bit large for me. It didn't inspire confidence off the deck, but off the tee it's a small driver. Also, the feel didn't knock me out though many people do like the Rapture's particular feel. I haven't tried the Maruman club so no help there. Overall, you really can't go wrong with any of the clubs you listed. Just get properly fitted and determine which is the best for you. Good luck.

I have a Mizuno F-60 16.5º 4 wood that is very good. I also have a Sonartec 16º 4 wood that is a bomber. Nickent also makes a 17º 4 fairway wood that is AWESOME. if you can find one of those, they are some of the sweetest fairway woods ive ever hit

Since you are after a 4W, I am assuming that you will use it as both a back up driver and also from off the fairway. For the second function, I'd go with something that has a shallow face... and of the 4 you've picked, my preference is the G10.

Whilst trying out the clubs you mentioned also try out a few 15 and 16 degree hybrids, you may find you like them better or find them easier to hit.

I see you have an Exotics driver. Have you tried their woods? They are sweet. I struggled hitting a 3 Wood until I got my Exotics cb2. I haven't hit the newer version of exotics but they get good reviews. The 4 wood is 16.5 degrees.

Have you considered using/demoing an adams a3os 16/17 degree hybrid. I have an a3os 2 hybrid 16 degree and I like it a lot. I use it as a 5 wood substitute.

Denver_NuggsP13 and Bobsuuncle,

Will prioritize the G10 in the demo based on your feedback. Still looking for the 17 degree 3W launcher here as most shops carry the 15*

Deafhaven and RocketSauce,

Yup those are good brands I've had the Miz 3WF60 and I also have the TEE driver, my problem is that the 4W versions are not available here hence can't demo them.

Walfice, Slide 13 and Golf Reprisal

I'll try out the hybrids you suggested.

Thanks guys, will hepefully find one before the week ends. Will keep you posted.

It sounds like a 4 wood is what you'll need to fill the gap. Everybody makes one so it's just a matter of finding one that sets up the way you like it. I've gone with a stronger loft in a 3w and then using a 3h to fill the gap.
