I was looking to buy just the head of a wedge and was wondering usually how much it cost to add a shaft and grip and even if this can be done.

shaft 15-20 GG= 18
grip 2-3 GG =~3

Maybe you can ask discount for not pulling out old shaft.

Go to the Golfsmith website and look at club making or similar section. They sell clubheads, shafts, grips, etc... Not sure why you would go this route, but assume you have a good reason. Most folks would just buy a new wedge and put the grip of choice on it if the original grip was not wanted.

The guy im buying from only has the club head. So trying to see if its worth it to just buy the head and attach a grip and shaft too it.

I agree, that is the one club I would buy new. Wedges seem to take a beating, unless you know the person selling and know the condition, I think you are better off buying new.

Yeah, wanna make 14 dollars the hard way?

let me say that I agree with the group. Just buy a wedge new.

However to answer your question.

A Dynamic Golf S300 shaft (the common wedge shaft) will run anywhere from $12 to $18. Then a grip can run anywhere between $3.50 and $8+ dollars depending on what you want. I would assume about $10-$20 for assembly charge.

Buying heads only is faily common, as I assemble my own golf clubs, so buying just the head appeals to somebody like me, who probably wants to match the shaft to the existing set, etc. Unless you want a specific combination that you can't find stock, or you are a builder / tinkerer. I don't think the savings is warranted by buying the head alone.

Depending on the cost of the head - you probably would be better off finding a fully completed club, or consider buying new instead.

In my bag:

some golf clubs

a few golf balls

a bag of tee's some already broken the rest soon to be

a snickers wrapper (if you have seen me play, you would know you are not going anywhere for a while)

and an empty bottle of water
