Hi

Im thinking of getting a couple of mizuno wedges but aint sure between either the;

Mizuno - MP R Chrome Wedge

Can anyone tell me which ones are the best out of the two??
Also are my current Taylormade TP Z wedges better and worth keeping??

The MPR wedges are a teardrop shape and they look like they have quite a big surface area but the MPT ones, the ones i am going to be getting some time soon, are a bit more vokey shaped

I have the 2007 MP-t 53 degree. I like it. I don't think I like it as much as the vokey I replaced. As far as feel comparing the two, I don't see much difference even though it is forged. It is a nice wedge though but if I was buying new wedges at regular price, I would get two new Vokey SM.

I game the MP-R's and they're fantastic wedges. They're more of a tear dropped shape like said and make them easier to hit. I'm selling my set if you're interested

There is no "better" wedge between those 2. The performance is the same, the only difference is the head shape and its more a matter of looks than anything else.
Some people prefer the more rounded MP-R, others prefer the more traditional teardrop shaped MP-T.
Ive got both and they both work equally well.

Neither model is 'better' they just have different shape (as many other have stated). I play both - 51* MP-T is my 'gap' wedge. I like that shape for that club because it's closer to the shape of my irons and has a flatter leading edge. My 56* sand wedge is the MP-R. For a sand and utility wedge I like the tear drop shape better because it allows me to get down through the sand a little easier and can also be easier out of some ackward lies because of the rounded leading edge. I really like the feel of the Mizuno wedges after playing Cleveland's for years. They are not as 'spinny' as the Cleveland's or Vokey's but I prefer the feel.
