Cobra Carbon CB Irons...

I currently play Ping ISI-K irons from '96 and i'm looking to get into a different set of irons...anyone ever play the Cobra Carbon CB irons? pros? cons? ball flight? I know they're workable clubs and would someone of my handicap even be suited for these?...i'm looking to get away from such a great offset that i have with my ISI's...any comments would be greatly appreciated

They produce a medium ball flight and feel very good on dead-center hits. A very solid club, can't really think of any faults offhand. Relatively forgiving. And handicap doesn't really have to do with iron choice, its more about how well you actually play your irons.

You can't go wrong with these. They are very nice but ballflight is a product of the shaft. What type of ballflight are you looking for? If you want something higher with your longer irons, IMHO, I would suggest the Tour Concept shafts from True Temper. These have a nice, high ball flight.

Have you thought about the newer model? I hit these, last week and they are fantastic. Cavities in the longer irons and blades in the 8-PW. For a few bucks more, you'll get your hands on the latest model.

How do these Cobras compare to the Mizuno MP-52s and MP-57s? Are they more of a players iron then the Mizunos? Can anyone using these Mizunos us these Cobras?

I can't see why an MP57 user would not be able to use the Pro Carbon series. The lengths, lofts and lie angles are identical. The offset difference between the Carbon and MP57 is 0.04 and both irons are made from soft carbon steel, grade 1020. You might have slightly more forgiveness on the 57 but you will still maintain the same workability. I would suggest trying the Cobras. I've hit lots of different clubs and play two different sets: Mizuno MP 32 and TM 300 Series (favorite being the RAC TP 2005 CB series) but the Cobras are a close second.
