Just getting back into golf after a few years off, and I was wondering if anyone can tell me about the quality of this set of clubs. I have initially budgeted 600 bux to get new equipment, but if I can get decent, playable, clubs at a price like this I'd rather spend more money on lessons, green fees, etc.
I suppose the real question is, is there much advantage to buying more expensive clubs for a 25+ handicapper, or should I improve my game now and get a better idea of what clubs will fit better in the future?

Well, my $.02 is it's only $200+ but you get what you pay for. Without knowing anything about your swing or expectations I would suggest going with a quality used set from Callaway, Ping, TM, whatever. I'm not a big fan of graphite shafts in irons unless it's a high qualty shaft. At your current skill level what works now may not work as well in a couple of months. I'm guessing those clubs are on the light side and that could cause problems in your tempo and ball flight as you improve. My suggestion is if you haven't already is to find a pro and work with them about your equipment needs. They have a much better understanding of what will work better for you.

Re-read the ad. Noticed they had steel shafts in the irons.
