I was looking to buy the mizuno mx 200 irons, but I can't decide if I should pay the $700 and get fitted for them or buy them off ebay for about $450-500? Any suggestions would be helpful. I know being properly fitted for your clubs is important, but $250 difference is pretty big to me. That is a lot of golf or lessons or other equipment. WHat do you all think?

Buy the clubs cheap from ebay and then take them to get fitted afterwards.

30 bucks. I had mine delofted. They checked for lie at that time. If you are too tall or short then that would greatly increase the cost. But if average height, should be about that much.

Nice choice too.

I am 6'4" so they are probably going to have to add some length, not sure though I have never been fitted before. I have hit these clubs 4 different times and also lots of other irons trying to find something to give me a reason not to buy the mx 200s, but I havent found anything.

That will greatly increase the cost. I would imagine you would need length added. You might be able to find a nice set on ebay that are 1/2 longer than standard. I wouldn't want to go much longer than that. I am not a club fitter though.

Where should one go to get clubs fitted? I saw at golf galaxy it was like 50dollars for a driver fitting unless you purchased the driver there.

I need to get one of my wedges fitted (my vokey purchased it on ebay and it ended up being a +2)

Your height really has nothing to do with adding anything to the club. You may not have to add like you think. I am 5'8" and my clubs are 1.5* upright.
