i've heard good things about those Sonartec wedges and thats the only full set of them ive seen advertised so far.

I just got sniped on a 60* Lob and SW from the Nike set that matches the Irons I have on order...I'm a high HC guy, so I'm sure this set, while not the best ever would be better than what I have and get me by for a while (and @ less than i'm going to pay for a single Nike Wedge.

I play the Sonartec t46 52*& 56*and a finer set of wedges I have not played. Very versatile grinds.

These will get the job done but do not expect to get much spin unless your really steep. I've had the set since late last year.

Another thing to add is that you may want to change the grips out for new ones. Not the best out there for a club that relies on a lot of feel.

just got mine in the mail today, they look pretty nice, no fancy sole grinds or anything and the grooves dont look like they'll tear up balls too bad (on the converse, maybe won't get as much spin as i'd like -- oh well, can't beat it for the price)

have a tee time scheduled for tomorrow, i'll be sure to let you all know what i think of them :) if it's not too busy (should rain, so maybe the course might empty out a bit) i'll try to hit multiples to get a better feel of them

I bought that set last week,really nice wedges and for a price like that i coudnt pass them up...still havent played a round with them but they have been working out great at the driving range so far.

now I've not played a set of spin milled vokeys, new clevelands, or whatever

but from what i've seen (and the course I played today which I detailed as the worst course in America in the playgrounds forum), these wedges aren't too bad. I haven't played them from cabbage rough, which I've heard is a big problem because they're too light to hold their line through thick rough, but they impart a decent amount of spin on the ball (even from chip swings out of rock-hard bunker lies) where I was able to check the ball up fairly well (good for me, I don't want to spin the ball back, I like to hit and run a bit)

GW played nicely from the fairway, bounced about 5 yards on the rock hard greens I played today and checked about a yard past with a full swing

SW is what I checked well out of the crap bunker lie, I thought I hit it too hard and was going to run it off the green but instead the ball hit the brakes and ended up 3 feet from the pin for an easy par.

LW was my most troublesome club of those wedges, as high-loft wedges will tend to be. I think I tried to do too many things with it, but I controlled distance very well with it (although all of my flops and short pitches would land way short and roll off the back of the green, i think this was a green problem and not a wedge problem)...given some practice, I think I could do well with this club, too.

overall I'd rate them a 4.5/5...probably not the best wedges out there, but I'm still learning technique on complex short game shots (varied bump'n'runs, flops, ball stops, etc) and they handled me way better than I though.

can't beat it for $50 bucks, that's for damned sure.
