I want to ask about a specific ebay seller

I just purchased a set of Callaway X-22 Tour irons (4-PW) from him. I am supposed to be getting them in today and can't wait to go to the range after work and try them out. Like others have stated in this thread, he came highly recommended by other sandtrappers, so I went with him.

I purchased my Callaway X-22 set from him and they were shipped very fast and amazing irons. He is a good seller definitely.

I can't wait. I'm having them shipped to my office and they should be here soon as the departure location was not too far from my work and it left UPS at 5:05 this morning. Too bad I'm going to have to go to a meeting for most of the day and not see when these puppies get in. Plus side is that I am definately going to the range right after work and the local range has a coupon deal that with the purchase of a large bucket (105 balls for $7), you get a medium free. I'll be there for a while...

Thanks Des. Just got back in to the office and my clubs have arrived. I opened the box to make sure all was good. The only thing I found odd was that the grips that were on there were not the same grips that were on the ones that I tried out at Golfsmith (black with yellow print).

Any thoughts?

Are they Callaway Grips? or Golf Prides or something?

I'm not sure if it is or not. I think it is, but there's is only a white ring at the butt of the club with the callaway logo (the "V" symbol) in white print. Everything is else is just black with some indentations in the grip. I'm assuming the grip is a Callaway grip, but not exactly 100%.

I guess I was assuming it would be the one with the yellow print that I actually really liked for the softer feel. I did a quick search and couldn't really Callaway grips. I'll look more and try and post pictures of what I'm talking about.

Were your clubs demo clubs? I believe demo clubs had the yellow grips

The club I hit was definately a 6-iron was a demo; however, the grips on the floor model was the same too. I am still trying to find either grip, but have had no luck. I'm getting more and more confused the more I search for the grips.

I would not worry too much, any grip that comes with any club you may instantly fall in love with or hate, or doesn't fit you. I had the same problem when I bought my clubs, I ended up having all of them changed because my hands were too big.

Ok, I found this Lamkin grip that it appears to be on what was on the clubs I just got. Here is the link for a pic of it:

Rather than the Lamkin logo, it have the Callaway logo.

mine came with Stock Callaway grips. I remember a thread a while back about the yellow grips being only on the clubs in that store.
