i've met one of my goals this year, I shortened my backswing and learned to turn my wrists and release through impact, turning my 20 yard slice into a 5 yard fade.

Goals: Correct slice on driver/long clubs(close!), work on consistent iron distance, practice aiming irons

I know that opening the face way up in the sand works, but ill be damned if I can figure out why. In my head it just seems a square face would work better, even though I know it doesnt. Can anyone explain?

it has to do with the bounce cut into the sole of the club. that's what makes sand wedges different than other wedges

Congrats! I doubt I could do it, the course I play at only has one bunker (on the par 3 18th), and I have yet to hit into it.

The purchase of the nets from

Izzo Golf has been the sole reason of my progress I have had so far. Last summer when our driving range closed down I had no where to practice, so I bought the Big Daddy Insta-Net™ , it was a great net but the frame cracked about 6 months ago. So I called Izzo and told them my frame had cracked and they without question sent me a new one. Then about a month ago I was weed eating around the net and sliced one of the cables. When the tension released it cracked another frame pole. So I called Izzo up and without question, they not only sent me another, they sent me a bigger and better one at no extra charge; Giant™ Hitting Net . This thing is big strong and durable. I cant say enough about Izzo and the way they have handle their customer service issues. Here is some pics of the nets I listed above: Giant Hitting Net $189.99 Big Daddy Net $69.99
