I've had them both.....I prefer the Nike Sumo Squared the best. I seemed to hit higher shots that fit the gaps after my irons very nicely.

These were my first Nike sticks after playing PING products for fifteen years...off and on.

They seem to be very forgiving, especially if you hit them thin. I've found them to still be mildly workable...draws and cuts are fairly easy to produce.

I cannot speak to the forgiveness of the G10 driver. I do own a SuMo squared 11 deg. driver and a G10 fairway wood. Both feel very effortless when I hit them off the tee. I must say, of the drivers I've hit thus far this year (I've tried a Diablo, Cleveland, Hippo) the Nike is the most consistent with regard to both distance and forgiveness. The only criticism I would have, which I read in the reviews prior to buying the club, is the sound off the tee. Sounds more like a home run off an aluminum baseball bat than the typical sound one expects from a 460cc driver. I can live with the sound if the drive is going straight and long.

I have 3 Adams A3 Hybrids, 19 deg, 22 deg, and 25 deg and they are incredibly forgiving. I have played the Nike and a Callaway X as well and the Adams are by far the most forgiving. I would give them a shot, plus the A3's can be had really cheap since the A4's are out.

To ask an additional question, are 2008/09 hybrids that much better than 2005/06 hybrids?

Should I look to upgrade over a Taylor Made Dual Rescue? Hit it consistant with with a slight draw

I have tried several new 08/09 hybrids (G10, Adams a4 & a7, Cobra TWS, and Cleveland Hibore XLS). Hit the Cleveland the best, slightly better than the G 10. Should I look to get a newer hybrid (Launcher / Hibore XLS)?

Thanks

I've never hit the G10 and I suspect it's awesome, but I just played a round today and hit a tee shot with the Sumo2 about 1/2" off-center and it still went straight and only about 5 yards loss in distance. It's a great club.

    • Day 457 - 2025-12-31 Stayed after some GEARS Hybrid stuff with my senior girls and got some work in. Also, kicked Tegan's butt at a chipping contest with a wedge that has a lousy toe profile.
    • Day 141 12-31 Reconnecting arm and club face work. Making sure left wrist is arched only on the downswing. Not doing full swings, im pausing at the top and will do a few rehearsals.  Hit a few real balls  after, and had some curve way left.
    • That was a good watch. When I started working on pelvis in the backswing. I thought, this sounds contradictory to those leg straightening threads on the site. Erik has already done a correction. Then the last lesson we went more down the route of feeling the right knee gains flex. It doesn’t, but the feeling keeps my knee position in a good range. Also, I just realized how much extra work my right hip needed to do to stabilize the body with the proper weight shift. Those glute and hip stabilizers got worked. 🤣 I wish this evolution in the golf instruction happened 20 years ago! 😭
    • I've been Playing Golf for: 40 yrs My current handicap index or average score is: 4.0 factor My typical ball flight is: Straight however sometimes slight draw. The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: squirt to the right due to to much arm not enough turn.
