I've always played with split cavity Vantage irons and now for some reasons I want to buy a new set. I want to buy Titleist blend set(cavity - long irons, blades - short irons). I have to make the right choice beetween Titleist ZB Forged and Titleist 735 CM Forged.
I heard that ZBs have more blade feel than 735 CM, but 735s are easier to hit. The price in the local store is nearly the same.
Any thoughts? Have anyone used both 735s and ZBs?

Rusty, I can not speak to the specific Titleist clubs you have mentioned, but I too recently went to a blended set of irons. I play Cleveland and went with the somewhat more forgiving CG7 irons from 3 thru 6 and then added in the CG7 Tour irons from 7 thru P. I feel this gives me the best of both worlds. Having said that, I think the shaft selection is just as important as the club selection.

Long time ago, I used to have the 735s. Back then, I was a 17 handicap, and I found it harder to hit those clubs than one would think. The 755s are a lot more forgiving and fit my swing a lot better. I never tried the ZBs, but if I were you, I would go for these for the same price, they are 3 years newer. I know newer doesn't always mean better, but it would be safe to assume that the technology improved significantly in 3 years.

I'll go for ZB. Thanks.
