WOW!! What 15 minutes on the launch monitor will make!!

Today I went down to Atlanta to purchase a utility. Before I went down I called Edwin Watts Golf to make sure they had the three hybrids I was interested in; Nickent, Adams, and Burner. The rep said he had all those in stock and asked that I bring down driver to get the correct flex and a better fit with my swing. So I did.


He put me on the monitor:

• 85 Club Speed / 120.7 Ball Speed......not good

He asked jokingly if I was a Arnold Palmer fan? I said I was and asked why? He said that I finish with my hands up and out. (which I was slightly aware) Also he said I wasn't finishing my swing with my belt buckle facing the target. (Which I wasn't aware)


So after analyzing my swing on video and making some slight adjustments, I got back on the monitor:

• 98 Club Speed / 139.6 Ball Speed......Pretty good

That my friends is why everyone could benefit from a lesson or two. I don't know this guys qualifications, handicap or anything. All I know is he pointed out a few simple swing defects and I made a 15% difference in my swing speed.

Anyway, I wound up picking the TM Rescue mainly because it felt so familiar in my hands and in my swing. I am sure those others are fine clubs and I really couldn't find any fault with them. They all hit well. But the Rescue just felt as if it was just a miniature wood in my hands.
