Help with hyrbids!!!

Looking to add a hybrid to my bag (also looking for a new 3 wood).

I hit a Ping G10 hybrid 21 degree (i want a 20-22 degree or 3 iron) and I hit it about 230-245 but i was hitting a little bit of a draw and then sometimes hooking it no matter how i tried to hit it. I liked the distance and the higher trajectory, but it also seems like it wouldn't be very good in tougher lies.

I'm thinking about getting a cleveland hibore xls, both the hybrid and the 3 wood but would the offset for the slice correction worsen my hook? I'm also looking at taylor made but I generally don't hit TM fairway woods very well when I've tried them.

Any suggestions would be appreciated, I'd like the hybrid to have a simple apperance without a bigger sized head (I think the TM burner or something had an extra-large head for a hybrid), and something that will go straight and be workable onto the green from 220-250 yards out.

I can't hit either of my ping hybrids straight out of the fairway.... they always go left, still reasonably straight. They are WONDERFUL however from the deep stuff.

My two favorite hybrids are the new titleist 909 and the old school Nickent 3dx. I have played one or both in 17,19,21,21.5, and 24. From my perspective (and often lousy swing) you should definitely give them a look and serious consideration.

I do like the look of the 909 a lot, but I think I may go for the hibore XLS, especially since I've always loved cleveland woods (still bomb my cleveland launcher 400 cc driver 300+)

Go check out the Adams 9032ti fairway metal and the Adams Idea Pro (Gold) hybrids. Can't go wrong with those.

Just told you one. The 585 won't hook unless you hook it.

FWIW, I was hooking my hybrid at first because I was trying to swing it like a fairway wood. The hybrid head played tricks on my mind. Swinging it like an iron helped straighten me out.

The Hybrids I hit (only just started with them) are some Benross V6 Escapes. They have adjustable weights that allow you to set up for a hook or a neutral bias. The hook helped me with my old swing, and with work this year I've moved to the neutral bias. They're discontinued clubs that I won a few years ago, but I love them now I've started using them.
