Hmmm. I would get e5+'s but they're two piece and they're supposed to fly higher. I guess I'll decide between the e6+ and e7+ whenever I go to the store.

Well if its a tossup go with the e7+ and we can both give a small review on each ball in the line.

Seems to be a lot of conflicting information here about the Bridgestone balls. I recently switched to the e6+ after reading about them in the Golf Digest Hot List for 2009 and after playing them, I'm sold. Also, the ball seems to be much more durable, at least as measured by my experience, than a couple other competing balls I tried (NXT Tour being one of them).

Anyways, Golf Digest grades the Bridgestone e#+ balls as follows:

BRIDGESTONE E5+ SILVER Rating
PRICE: $27/dozen
WEBSITE: bridgestonegolf.com
CONSTRUCTION: Two-piece: core, urethane cover
TECH STORY: It's uncommon to see a two-piece ball with a urethane cover, but the e5+ generated significant wedge spin in our testing. The ball's soft compression and large core are designed for golfers with slow swing speeds.
VERDICT: Slow to medium swingers often give up greenside spin. Not here.

BRIDGESTONE E6+ GOLD Rating
PRICE: $27/dozen
WEBSITE: bridgestonegolf.com
CONSTRUCTION: Three-piece: core, mantle layer and ionomer cover
TECH STORY: The low-compression core and mantle layer are designed to reduce slice and hook spin. The seamless dimple pattern is intended to produce a more consistent ball flight.
VERDICT: Bridgestone's sophisticated ball-fitting program resulted in a ton of e6+ converts. Learn from them.

No online listing for the e7+ at the Golf Digest web site. Also, for what it's worth, there are a couple of graphs in that issue from a few months ago that showed driver and wedge spin, check it out if you have it laying around somewhere.

Cheers!

Sorry toddzilla, didn't even see your question. No, I haven't played at sweetbriar. Maybe one of these days I'll get out there though.

I just picked up a sleeve of the E6+'s to try out. I've worked my really bad slices out into a fade/occasional slice. I'm hoping these bring me closer to the straight/occasional fade. So far I've just putted them around the house and they have a nice premium ball feel off of the putter. I was surprised considering the Surlyn cover, but I'm very excited to hit these tonight.

I looked at the Bridgestone site and found no specs about their balls. As far as ball makeup. It only tell's you what the ball is good at and who it's for. TGW and lostgolfballs list diffrent specs for the e7. Does it say on the box?

Well I got a chance to play a full round with the e7's and loved them. Played 16 holes with the first ball and it held up very well. Longer by about 5 yards or so with the driver, over my Srixon soft feels. Feel was a little firmer, but not by much. Spin around the green was fair to good also. Hit it straight with all my clubs. Something I can't do with premo balls. They'll be in my bag from now on!
